Hi, I’m Colby!
I am a stationer, graphic designer and calligrapher based in Charleston, South Carolina - where I have been serendipitously making my way to for the majority of my life. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts and Design and Dance from James Madison University. Since graduating in 2017, I have poured into my work as a creative marketer for a variety of small businesses, most recently Celadon Home in Mt. Pleasant, a long-standing favorite of the Charleston community.
I have since entered a new chapter of my career, diving deeper into my love of graphic design, stationery and thoughtful occasions with Colby Bedell Creative.
I am inspired by vibrant color palettes, playful patterns, bespoke lettering, whimsical illustrations, and the beautiful landscapes and elegant charm of the Lowcountry.
When not at play with my design work, you can find me exploring local parks and beaches with my dog, River, listening to live music at one of Charleston’s many colorful venues, or discovering the best food and mocktails around town with friends.
