Welcome to Colby Bedell Creative

I am a stationer, graphic designer and calligrapher based in Charleston, South Carolina - where I have been ~ serendipitously ~ making my way to for most of my life. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, I have been slowly pulled South over the past few years since graduating from James Madison University in 2017, ultimately landing in the charming coastal city in 2023. I am so amazed every day that I get to call Charleston home!

Since earning my degrees in Dance and Media at JMU, I poured myself into social media and marketing for a number of small businesses. Much like my path to Charleston, the creation of Colby Bedell Creative has felt incredibly aligned. This new chapter is bringing together my passions for graphic design and creative marketing with my love for stationery thoughtful occasions; bringing life’s most celebrated moments to life through the art of paper.

I am inspired by vibrant color palettes, playful patterns, bespoke lettering, whimsical illustrations, and, of course, the cherished love stories and celebrated occasions of my clients!

When not at play with my design work, you can find me exploring local parks and beaches with my dog, River, listening to live music at one of Charleston’s many colorful venues, or discovering the best food and mocktails around town with friends.
